"No Greater Love" concert with Schola Cantorum on Hudson

  • St. Joseph's Church 371 Avenue of the Americas New York, NY, 10014 United States (map)

Co-director Martha Chapman and longtime Omega dancer Brandon Michael Arrington perform with Schola Cantorum on Hudson to present the East Coast premiere of John Muehleisen’s deeply moving Pietà, a choral work combining writing as disparate as Kipling, Owen, Blake, Martin Luther King, orthodox hymnody and scripture in its exploration of compassion and mercy.

Schola, an independent choral ensemble which makes music in the belief that by doing so a positive difference is made in the world, will sing with The Dominos, a 30-voice treble choir from St. Dominic Academy, Jersey City, directed by Joseph Napoli and VOX, a 40-voice male choir from St. Peter’s Preparatory School, Jersey City, directed by Gianpaolo Eleria.

Tickets: $25, available at http://www.scholaonhudson.org/
